Scientology Recognized in Kyrgyzstan

On February 7, 2001, the Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs responsible for registration of religious organizations in Kyrgyzstan issued an official document on behalf of the Committee certifying and recognizing Scientology as a religion. Following the decision of the Religious Affairs Committee, the Ministry of Justice registered the Church of Scientology of Bishkek as a religious organization. Thus, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan has officially recognized Scientology as a religion.
